A new laptop

• If you are feeling really generous this holiday season, you can get that special someone a new laptop. After all, laptops are one of the most wanted items on peoples Christmas lists this year. All of the major players have been working to make their laptop offerings more attractive heading into the 2007 Christmas shopping season.
  
• Dells lineup of Inspiron 1520 computers (top left) comes in eight different colours and pack a 15.4-inch screen, 1 gigabyte of RAM, a 120 gigabyte hard drive and an Intel processor running at 1.46 Ghz. The systems come with Windows Vista Operating System and can be customized. Pricing on the 1520 starts at $749.
  
• HP continues to be a market leader in PC sales. Looking at the companys Pavilion DV9600 (by itself above) entertainment series laptop makes it easy to see why. The computer comes with a high definition 15.4-inch screen, an AMD processor running at 1.9 Ghz, one gigabyte of RAM and a 160 gigabyte hard drive. It also comes with TV outputs and a remote, so you can hook the laptop up to a television and play all of its multimedia content. The system can be customized. Retail pricing starts at $949.99.
  
• For the Apple Inc. enthusiast, the companys latest MacBook Pro surely wont disappoint. Based on the Intel Core Duo processor, these little laptops pack a wallop. The computers come with a 2.2 Ghz processor, 3D graphics cards, two gigabytes of RAM and a 120 gigabyte hard drive. The systems can be upgraded. Pricing starts at $2,199
